Spring into Bitcoin
You’re invited to join us for the first ever Spring into Bitcoin event on April 12th at Hippo Social Club! Come together with the greater Austin area’s bitcoin community to learn about Bitcoin, network with others, and get some firsthand experience with the best money humans have ever discovered. Additionally, there will be a Run for Hal race on-site during the event!

Fun for the whole family! We'll have live music, a bounce house, and plenty of activities for children. More details coming soon!
The event will feature a trail run to benefit the ALS Network’s Hal Finney ALS / MND Research Fund. Hal Finney was an important early contributor to bitcoin and was the first individual to receive a bitcoin transaction from Satoshi in early 2009; he sadly passed away from ALS in 2014, but his legacy lives on through the Finney Prize and his wife Fran’s tireless efforts to raise awareness and funding for ALS research.
We’re excited to partner with Tejas Trails to facilitate the Run for Hal by way of an Uncommon Trail Race - If you are new to the ‘Most Miles’ format, it is incredibly fun, allowing you more camaraderie out on the trail than other types of races, and gives you a great chance to run longer than you ever have before. We also have a 5K (for humans), a Canine 5K (for humans with their dog), and a Youth 1 Mile (for little humans). Check out additional run details here.

The event will take place at the Hippo Social Club in Hutto and is presented in partnership the Austin Bitcoin Club, Bitcoin Commons, Round Rock Bitcoin Club, University of Texas Longhorn Club and the San Antonio Bitcoin Club.

We’ll also have a bitcoin market with local vendors and meat served by Chef Johnny. The event will also feature bitcoin 101, games and activities for kids, and speakers from across the local business and bitcoin ecosystem. Recover post-race and utilize the cold plunge and sauna!
