Following her announcement of a historic proposal to supercharge the U.S. dollar and pay down the national debt by establishing a strategic Bitcoin reserve, U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) officially introduced the Boosting Innovation, Technology and Competitiveness through Optimized Investment Nationwide (BITCOIN) Act in the U.S. Senate on July 31, 2024.

Pierre Rochard has served as VP of Research at Riot Platforms since July 2022, after initially joining the company in 2019 as an Advisor. Mr. Rochard has researched and written about Bitcoin since early 2013 and co-founded the Satoshi Nakamoto Institute in 2014 to curate the best primary source literature. In addition to developing open-source Bitcoin software and launching the Lightning product at Kraken, Mr. Rochard is a widely respected advocate for Bitcoin’s decentralized governance and value. Mr. Rochard co-hosts the Noded Bitcoin Podcast and the Bitcoin for Advisors Podcast.

Will Cole is the Head of Product at Zaprite, a Bitcoin payments platform. He has a rich background in product management, having served as Chief Product Officer at Unchained Capital and Vice President of Product at Stack Overflow. Will is a long-time Bitcoiner and has been actively involved in building products that support Bitcoin’s growth worldwide.
